Statement of Purpose and Objectives: The overall goal
of the conference was to provide a one-day educational opportunity for the
genetic counselors in New England to increase awareness on various topics
in genetic counseling; with particular focus on genetic counselors
working with fetal therapies and interventions, clinical drug trials and
cancer genetics, while also learning advanced risk communication and
shared decision-making techniques.
